2007 INBF/WNBF World Championships
Updated 16/10/2007 ![]() What is the INBF and WNBF? The WNBF is the foremost professional natural bodybuilding federation in the world, and the INBF is the amateur affiliate. The WNBF pride themselves on strict drug testing using the polygraph and urinalysis to ensure a level playing field for all athletes. There are several other affiliates throughout the world including the SNBF (Swiss), GNBF (German) and more recently the WNBF Asia-Pacific covering Australia and New Zealand. Can British bodybuilders compete in the INBF and WNBF? Yes, so long as you are a minimum of 7 years drug free. There are currently no shows in Britain, but British athletes can still compete in any sanctioned event overseas. View the 2007 INBF show calendar. To compete in the WNBF you will need to win your natural pro card. All members recieve a yearly subscription to Natural Bodybuilding & Fitness magazine. How does a natural British bodybuilder turn pro? To turn pro, you will need to win your class and the overall at one of the INBF pro qualifiers. Over the last few years, four British athletes have won pro cards at the INBF worlds in New York City. Can inactive British pro's still compete in the WNBF? Yes. Although if you have not competed in a WNBF show in the last two years you will need to contact the WNBF for clearance. Does Great Britain send teams to compete at these shows? Yes. Britain has a long history of sending teams to New York to compete at the world championships. Teams are usually a mix of pro and amateur athletes.
